Name: IRONSTAR
Category: Triathlon
Project: Rebranding
As IRONSTAR solidified its position as the largest triathlon brand in Russia, it became clear that the original identity had reached its limit. What began as a local race identity needed to evolve into a high-performance visual ecosystem capable of supporting rapid growth. To stay ahead, the brand required a shift toward a more recognizable, "brighter" aesthetic that could command attention in an increasingly crowded global market
Solving Technical Friction
The legacy branding was hindered by a high level of intricate detail. The previous logo contained too many small elements, which created significant challenges when applied to the diverse surfaces of the triathlon world. Whether it was being embossed onto heavy finisher medals, embroidered onto athletic gear, or scaled down for smartwatch interfaces, the identity lost its clarity. We set out to strip away this complexity in favor of a clean, robust design that maintains its integrity on any material.
Reflecting Athletic Power
The new visual language is a direct reflection of the athletes themselves: disciplined,
resilient, and high-energy. We moved away from a cluttered aesthetic to a bold, aggressive system that captures the "raw power" of the race day experience. By simplifying the forms and amplifying the visual weight, the new IRONSTAR identity now feels as explosive and unstoppable as the competitors crossing the finish line.
